ALL ABOUT JONNY

In case you were wondering...

Jonny Blanco

  1. Who are you?

I'm a college graduate and an unforgettable personality. I split my childhood and teenage years between Spain and the DMV, which has given me a wide assortment of music influences to draw from. Although I love hip hop, I enjoy experimenting with all types of music. i love people. i love excess. I love music.

  2. How old are you?

    Old enough to party

  3. Did you ever go by a different name?

In the DMV people I grew up with still call me Gute. If I had facial hair when I met you I don't expect you to call me that though..ha

  4. Do you have a girlfriend?

I've been married to music my whole life.

My music

  1. How long have you been making music?

I've been writing songs since I was a little kid. I think my earliest recording was when I was 12 though. My dad use to let me borrow his tape recorder and I would use anything I could find to make beats and record songs. They were all awful of course.

I didn't start recording legitimate songs until I was in highschool. Music has been my outlet through everything.

  2. Who do you listen to?

I listen to such a wide variety of music there isn't enough paper or web space for me to tell you. When it comes to hip hop I love listening to people I know, or people from the DMV. I support all artists from my area and I share their music with as many people as I can everywhere I go.

Right now if you picked up my ipod you'd find a lot of Nero, Skrillex, Datsik, Tabi Bonney, and all the DMV artists that I've been able to download recently. I've been listening to that Dedication To My Ex by Lloyd and Andre 3K on my way to school (sounds like what I'd imagine MJ sounding like if he was still here).

  3. What do you want people to know about your music?

I love what I do. I feel blessed everytime someone acknowledges my craft. I'm not trying to have the most swag or the most fans. I only know how to express myself through music, so I'll never stop.

At the end of the day, if I only reach one person through my music, I will have served my purpose in this world and die happy. Too many people are making music or wanting to get intio the industry for the wrong reasons. I'll never be one of those people.
